If you are familiar with the peak oil eventuality (if not current reality) and its implications for the price and availability of many products and services, you have probably been thinking about what it means for you and your loved ones. It is proposed that the most important aspects of our quality of life here in the Hudson-Mohawk region can be preserved and even improved through the actions of small groups of neighbors working together to solve common problems and through the coordinated efforts of governments and businesses to promote resource and economic self-sufficiency at the regional level .
